This beautiful poisonous mushroom is famous for it’s hallucinogenic properties. The common name in English comes from Europe because there it was sprinkled in milk and used as an insecticide.

Last summer, after visiting the Golden Gate Park’s Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco California, I decided to create a series of illustrations about carnivorous plants and poisonous fungi. Inspired by botanical drawings from the 1800′s I started sketching and working in Illustrator and Photoshop (^__^) today I finished the first four illustrations…YAY!
